JPEG, PNG, or WebP · max 30 MB each · nothing is uploaded
Your photos never leave this device.
How to use it
- 1
Add your photos
Choose one or more JPEG, PNG, or WebP photos, or drag them into the work area. The files are read in this browser tab only and are not uploaded.
- 2
Read the metadata table
Each photo shows a table with the camera make and model, lens, shooting time, exposure values, software, and GPS coordinates when they exist. A warning appears if the photo carries a location.
- 3
Check the clean copy
Frisbly removes the metadata without re-encoding the picture, then reads the new file again to confirm nothing is left. The result of that check is shown under the table.
- 4
Download the clean copy
Save the clean copy with a -clean suffix in the file name. Your original file is not changed, so you can keep it and share only the clean version.
Common use cases
Security and privacy
Your photos stay on your device
The photo is read with browser code and the clean copy is built in memory on your device. No upload route exists for this tool, no request carries your image bytes, and nothing is stored after you close the tab. Because the picture itself is not re-encoded, image quality and color profile are kept as they were.

FAQ
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The photo is read and cleaned inside your browser. No request that carries your image is sent to Frisbly or anyone else.
What exactly is removed?
EXIF and XMP blocks, text comments, and similar metadata are removed. The picture data and the color profile stay as they were.
Why does my photo look rotated after cleaning?
Many phones store the turned view as an orientation tag. The clean copy keeps only that one orientation tag, with no camera, time, or location data, so the photo keeps its upright view in viewers that read the tag.
Can I be sure nothing is left?
Frisbly reads the clean copy again and reports whether any metadata was found. Picture content such as a visible street sign is not metadata and is not changed.
Does it work with HEIC photos?
Not directly. Convert HEIC to JPG or WebP with the image format converter first, then open the result here.
